Scarecrow Contest Info

Materials provided include: 1 bale of hay, 1 6X1 stake and bamboo stake; $25 registration fee.

No Materials provided: no fee; registration required.

Pickup for materials - Friday Oct 11th; from 3:00-6:00 PM a the Town Park Scarecrow drop off - Saturday October 19th, 10:00 AM-2:00 PM at The Green.

Scarecrow display - Oct 19th- Oct 31st.

Registration can be done on Community Pass starting 9/6  at 9:00 AM

QR codes will be placed on each scarecrow. Voting begins 10/21-10/31.

Contest Rules

*Clubs, Not-for-profits, and Schools.

*Business: Open to for-profit businesses.

Display may reflect & promote business, may be traditionally or whimsically themed, and constructed of any materials. Scarecrows will be reviewed for appropriateness following set-up. Should a scarecrow be found to be offensive, controversial, political, etc., creators will be asked to either change its message or remove the display. The Recreation Department reserves the right to remove any such displays.

Theme/Signage

*Scarecrows for display may reflect a special theme and/or promote a not-for-profit organization, event or business.

*Scarecrows must be constructed to withstand the weather.

*Signage may be displayed to identify or promote your business, event or organization. Please use weatherproof signs!
