Energy Action Committee
Mission Statement
The goal of the Energy Action Committee (EAC) is to take action and make recommendations to improve sustainability and energy efficiency throughout the Town of Pound Ridge. For the purposes of the Committee, sustainability involves long-term goals and programs that facilitate a healthier environment for all residents. Through programs and grants the Committee strives to reduce the carbon footprint, fossil fuel dependencies, and lower energy bills for residents of Pound Ridge.
The EAC was formed in 2009 by the Town Board to review opportunities for improved sustainability and energy efficiency throughout Pound Ridge. The Committee makes recommendations to the Town Board and residents for actions to advance these goals. The EAC also helps with community outreach in support of active programs and sustainability initiatives.
Currently, the EAC meets virtually on a monthly basis, typically the last Monday of each month via Zoom.
