Wednesdays 8:00 am - 12:00 noon
Saturdays 8:00 am - 3:00 pm
CLOSED HOLIDAY WEEKENDS
ACCEPTED FOR RECYCLING (no charge):
- E-WASTE (TVs, computers and computer peripherals, and small electronics)
- PLASTICS #1 through #7, including plastic bags (must be clean - no food or liquid residue)
- GLASS (must be clean - no food or liquid residue)
- PAPER, including newspaper, glossy paper, and hardback books with covers removed
- CARDBOARD (no juice cartons or other waxed cardboard; boxes must be broken down)
- METAL including cans (washed out), swing sets, lawn mowers, weed whackers, bicycles, tools, fencing, hardware, wire hangers, and appliances (freezers, refrigerators and air conditioners must have freon removed)
- FOOD SCRAPS
Compost kits for collecting food waste are available for purchase from the Recreation Department.
ACCEPTED WITH PERMIT:
- HOUSEHOLD JUNK, including wood furniture, rugs and cushions
You can now pay for your permit by credit card at the Recycling Center. If you prefer to pay by cash or check, you may do so at the Town House. Permits are for one-time use and are based on vehicle size: $20/car; $35/SUV; $75/pickup.
NOT ACCEPTED:
- Medical waste
- Light bulbs
- Paint cans or metal containers used to store hazardous materials, toxic waste or chemicals
- Cars, other vehicles, or tires
- Car or household batteries
- Brush or yard waste
- Household garbage
- Mirrors or porcelain
- Storage sheds
- Swimming pool liners
- Construction materials, including sinks, toilets, countertops, cabinets, doors, insulation, windows, tiles, roofing, plasterboard, paneling, asphalt, cement, and wood
